Wonderful News! The Limerence Effect, a superb Trebas Institute Ontario graduate film directed by our talented film student, Sydney Emrys, that was recently screened at the Toronto Short Film Festival, continues to make waves as it was selected for screening at the Chatham-Kent International Film Festival on Saturday October 26, at the Capital Theatre in Chatham.
“I am extremely proud and excited to announce that Sydney Emry’s film, The Limerence Effect, has been selected at this prestigious international film festival which shows that our new Trebas filmmakers can compete with other filmmakers in the competitive festival circuit scene regionally, nationally and internationally,” said Kalman Szegvary, Academic Operations Manager at Trebas.
“The tremendous success of the film is evidence that our arts programs, academics, faculty, equipment and facilities are helping our students prosper, especially those who are truly passionate about filmmaking.”
Szegvary went on to say, “This recognizes our film program on the world stage! All of us at Trebas Institute Ontario are extremely proud of Sydney and of our students that worked on this wonderful film with her!”
The Limerence Effect is about an obsessed fan, a manager, and a co-worker, who have their worlds thrown into chaos.
The Chatham-Kent International Film Festival continues to draw a wide variety of submissions from across the globe, including documentaries, fictions and shorts. The majority of films come from North America, but also include films from India, France, Spain and Iran.
